*MUST HAVE CERNER EXPERIENCE AND TRAVEL EXPERIENCE*
*Travelers will need to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start (WITH 2 MAX ATTEMPTS), within 48 hours of offer.
*There is also a pass/fail Sim Lab on day one of orientation (study guides will be provided with first day instructions).
Unit: Cardiac Telemetry / 2A - # beds: 20 - Certs: BLS, ACLS and NIHSS required. Strong cardiac skills needed. - Ratios: 1:4-5 ratio - Charge Nurse: Yes, does not take patients. - Nurse Aides: Yes, huck for the unit. - Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend. Could be every 3rd. - Holidays: Work into perm staff rotation. - Scrub Color: Navy. - Tele: GE Monitors. Monitored centrally, but must be able to interpret EKGs. - Vents: No - Hospitalist or Intesivist in house: Intesivist 24/7 - IV Team: No - RT 24/7: Yes - Pharmacy 24/7: Yes - Shifts: 12 hr shifts. 7-7. - Floating: Tele Neuro and Medsurg - Floor specific orientation: 3 shifts on the floor. - Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Cardiac patients - Additional Notes: Experience running and titrating down Amio, Cardizem, Cardene, Heparin gtts.
